Have I got something really exciting and fun to share with you! There is a new food-blogging site launching today, and you get to hear all about the delish details right here. Dishin' In The Kitchen has the scoop straight from the creator and founder herself, Casey Benedict. I have to tell you that chatting with Casey about her new site, Kitchen-Play, was a joy - she's so excited!
Remember when mom always told you not to play with your food? Well, those days are gone, at least on Kitchen-Play! Casey revealed Kitchen-Play will be "a ground-breaking website devoted to connecting a food blogger to the public relations and markting industries." You better believe I'm bringing this news to you, the home-cook, for good reason. The home-cook (you know, you and me) will have access to recipes from culinary events (The Progressive Party, SideCar Series and Pampered Pantry) sponsored by national brands, argricultural commodities and family-owned and run businesses. Each month you will be able to see the "Big Reveal" and have waiting for you a six course menu created by established food-bloggers, along with some new rising stars, according to Casey. Pick and choose what you'd like to use from the menus, or start getting your holiday party-planning in high gear! As the months progress you'll be able to mix and match recipes from all of the menus to fit your own personal needs.
Casey told me that each month, for the Progressive Party, "six food-bloggers are tasked with the challenge of incorporating the same food product or kitchen tool into six wildly different courses. This month, each of the six participating food bloggers received a different Sur La Table kitchen tool to create one original recipe. Among other highlights, the blogger assigned to the cocktail course received an oil and vinegar 'duo' and the blogger assigned to the dessert course received a garlic chopper." Wow! What a great challange. I can't wait to see what recipes are waiting for us there.
Go take a listen to my chat with Casey (above) where she'll give you more fun details about Kitchen-Play. I'll see you there!
